Milestones

  • 1930: Founding of “Kräuterverarbeitungswerk Martin Bauer” (herb processing plant) by agriculturalist Martin Bauer in Vestenbergsgreuth
  • 1952: Hans Wedel joins the company and expands its market position, making it the leading company in the field of herbal and fruit infusions
  • 1980: Company enters the extract business with the founding of Plantextrakt
  • 1986: Acquisition of the company Birkenweg – the phytopharmaceutical extract business begins
  • 1989: Taking a stake in Finzelberg – expansion of extract business
  • 1993: Founding of PhytoLab by spinning off Martin Bauer laboratory
  • 1993 - 1997: Eastern European activities begin: taking a stake in Megafyt (Czech Republic), then later in Phytopharm Klęka (Poland) and Krasnogorskleksredstva (Russia), as well as founding of Multeafil (Poland) and Martin Bauer Polska
  • 1997: Founding of the Business Division Europlant Group
  • 1998: The company Paul Müggenburg and its subsidiaries become part of the group
